Hammer The heavy-hitting blunt weapon of choice in the Secret World, hammers apply great force at close range.

It can inflict the States of Impaired and Weakened, and if it is paired with Assault Rifle or Elementalism, then all four common states (and therefore States that can be exploited) can be inflicted.

Hammer users have access to Mitigation abilities that increase defence such as Aftershock (Minor Ward) and Bullheaded (Protection). Abilities that knock opponents to the ground (Beatdown), or better yet, fling them into the air, are unparalleled in their ability to reduce damage by anything other than See Red's total lockdown; Beatdown is superior inasmuch as it leaves the user free to act.

Hate management abilities are available to all through the Miscellaneous (Green) outer cells, but Hammer has access to Hate increase attacks such as Razor Shards that go well with its damage reduction.

Ability - smash

Smash - Active Melee Ability - A single target hammer attack that deals a moderate amount of damage. Builds a weapon resource for each equipped weapon.


Ability - below the belt

Below the Belt - Passive Ability - Each successful hit with Smash reduces the damage output of the target for a short time. Sets weakened state.


Ability - hell to pay

Hell to Pay - Active Melee Ability - A hammer blast that deals a large amount of damage in a column in front of you. Consumes all hammer resources.


Ability - righteous fury

Righteous Fury - Passive Ability - Increases the critical hit chance of Hell to Pay.


Ability - haymaker

Haymaker - Active Melee Ability - A single target hammer strike that deals a large amount of damage. Exploits impaired state. Consumes all hammer resources.

Hard Impact - Passive Ability - Increases all damage dealt by hammer abilities.

Backhanded - Active Melee Ability - A single target hammer attack that deals a moderate amount of damage. Builds two hammer resources if you had none before the attack.

Cool, Calm & Collected - Passive Ability (Elite) - Whenever you block an attack, you reduce incoming damage and whenever you critically hit your damage output is increased for a short time.

Ability - first blood

First Blood - Active Melee Ability - A single target hammer strike that deals a moderate amount of damage. Deals more damage if you have no hammer resources. Builds a weapon resource for each equipped weapon.


Ability - soft target

Soft Target - Passive Ability - Whenever you critically hit an impaired target, your next weapon resource builder will build three additional weapon resources for that weapon.


Ability - molten steel

Molten Steel - Active Melee Ability - A single target hammer attack that deals a large amount of damage, and a significant amount of extra critical damage on critical hits. Consumes all hammer resources.

Bone Breaker - Active Melee Ability - A single target hammer attack that deals a large amount of damage. Exploits weakened state. Consumes all hammer resources.

Metal Worker - Passive Ability - Removes the extra critical damage from Molten Steel. Adds another hit to Molten Steel that scales in damage with your maximum health.

Thunderstruck - Passive Ability (Elite) - Increases the duration of all your impair effects. You also deal an extra hit whenever you critically hit a weakened target.

Forged In Fire - Passive Ability (Elite) - Whenever you drop below half health, you get a large heal over time effect.

Faultline - Passive Ability - Increases the duration of Blowout. Reduces the recharge time of Blowout.


Ability - raging volcano

Raging Volcano - Active Melee Ability (Elite) - A channeled hammer attack that deals a large amount of damage and forces nearby enemies to attack you. While Raging Volcano is channeling, you block all incoming attacks.
