Assault rifle Assault rifles are high-powered ranged weapons with an occult twist, offering strong support options.

It can inflict the States of Afflicted and Hindered, and if it is paired with Chaos Magic or Hammer, then all four common states (and therefore States that can be exploited) can be inflicted.

As with all ranged skills ever, it offers the opportunity to kill weak opponents before they can damage the character. Pairing this with Hindered to slow their advance, Afflicted to do additional damage during the fight, and healing, gives an edge on tougher opponents also. Assault Rifle damages opponents as much as it heals the caster or their allies; the "one for me, minus one for you" ability known as Leech.

Rifle can also heal directly, with abilities such as Re-Animator and Platoon.

No Contest - Passive Ability - Whenever you set hindered state, your next attack cannot be evaded and deals more damage.

Anima Boost[]

Anima Boost - Passive Ability - Increases both the damage and leech components of Anima Shot.

Lock & Load - Active Ranged Ability - Instantly builds three assault rifle resources and reduces the recharge time of all your assault rifle consumers.

Tactical Retreat - Active Ranged Ability - An assault rifle backwards dash that deals a moderate amount of damage to enemies in an area around the start location, reducing their movement speed. Sets hindered state.

Explosives Expert - Passive Ability - Whenever you successfully hit, you apply an explosive charge to your target that explodes for a small amount of extra damage.


Incendiary Grenade[]

Incendiary Grenade - Active Ranged Ability - You throw a grenade at your target that explodes and affects nearby enemies. The explosion deals a moderate amount of damage and damage over time. Sets afflicted state.

It detonates after 3 seconds, dealing 107 physical damage if the user is facing the target when the explosion occurs, or 143 physical damage and will not glance if they are facing away from the target when the explosion occurs. This effect has an internal recharge time of 5 seconds.

Improved Groundwork - Passive Ability - Groundwork heals nearby friends who already have a leech effect on them.


Anima Outbreak[]

Anima Outbreak - Active Ranged Ability - An assault rifle frenzy attack that deals a large amount of damage to the target and nearby enemies. Nearby friends are healed for a moderate amount.

Leeching Frenzy[]

Leeching Frenzy - Passive Ability - All your frenzy category abilities also place an effect on the target that returns a small amount of health to attackers.


Reap and Sew[]

Reap and Sew - Active Ranged Ability (Elite) - Gives group members a large leech effect for a short time.

Augments[]

Damage

  1. Explosive Rounds - Your Assault Rifle Abilities apply the Explosive Rounds effect to your enemies. Each additional hit from Assault Rifle abilities increases the number of charges on the target. After 3 seconds, the charges detonate dealing 1 physical damage per charge applied.

Healing

  1. Combat Medic - Your Assault Rifle Leech effects are 2.85% more powerful and last 10% longer.
